“Listen, can you hear it? Spring’s sweet cantata. The strains of grass pushing through the snow. The song of buds swelling on the vine. The tender timpani of a baby robin’s heart. Spring.” Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneide Facebook One of my children set up a Facebook account for my business for me. “You really need to have one, Mom.” So I hope you’ll find me on Facebook and browse through my pages. Essential Oils May Be the Anti-Microbial of the Future Greek scientists at The Technological Educational Institute of Ionian Islands tested the anti-microbial activity of eight essential oils and found thyme completely eliminated bacteria within 60 minutes. Cinnamon essential oil handily fought off several strains of bacteria, including Staphylococcus. “Not only are essential oils a cheap and effective treatment option for antibiotic-resistant strains, but decreased use of antibiotics will help minimize the risk of new strains of antibiotic resistant micro-organisms emerging,” says Yiannis Samaras, one of the study’s authors. So what can you do with this information? Inner Defense is what we use whenever someone in our family is feeling under the weather. It contains both thyme and cinnamon. You can also make your own natural antibiotic with essential oils. There are several recipes available, including the one below: Gary Young’s Natural Antibiotic Recipe (using therapeutic-grade oils only): Combine: 10 drops lemon 8 drops mountain savory 3 drops oregano Put in capsule and take 1-3 times a day.( Empty capsules are available at health food stores.)
Food Rules A quick read and a great way to look at food, Michael Pollan’s newest book, Food Rules should probably be in all of our kitchens. Here’s an excerpt and some sample rules: ” . . .I had a deeply unsettling moment when, after spending a couple of years researching nutrition for my last book, In Defense of Food, I realized that the answer to the supposedly incredibly complicated question of what we should eat wasn’t so complicated after all, and in fact could be boiled down to just seven words: “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” So what foods are good for us to eat? Rule #13: Eat only foods that will eventually rot. Rule #19: If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don’t. Rule #20: It’s not food if it arrived through the window of your car.
Al Sears, MD on Soy Processing:
“Natural-food manufacturers are using a toxic chemical called hexane to process the soy in their products.1 This is the same substance that makes gasoline explode. It’s the stuff in glue that gets you high. Hexane fumes go straight to your brain and cause damage almost immediately.
“Natural-food manufacturers use hexane because it’s cheap. They take whole soybeans and soak them in big vats of this toxic soup until the soybeans dissolve. Then they extract the protein, fiber, and oil from the beans to make the “natural” foods you believe are healthy.
“I have always told you to stay away from soy. It can cause mineral deficiencies and hormone imbalances. And you may think you’re doing that. But it can be hidden in foods you’d never suspect. Like hamburger buns, mayonnaise, and coffee creamer. Here’s how you can avoid this toxic substance:
1. Check food labels. It’s not enough just to avoid “soy” products. Check the ingredient list carefully. If you find things like texturized vegetable protein, hydrolyzed protein, or soy isolate, you know hexane-processed soy is hiding inside.
2. Eat organic. Don’t think you can switch from soy to another grain. Hexane is also used to extract corn, rice, and other grains. But hexane is banned from organic-food processing. So, look for a green seal that says, “USDA Organic.” If you see that seal, you know your food doesn’t contain hexane residue. And don’t be fooled by a label that says, “Made with organic ingredients.” Foods only have to be made with 70% organic ingredients to use that on their label. So, more than likely, they contain hexane-processed soy.”
Autism And BodyTalk Anecdotal records show that children with Autism benefit from BodyTalk. I would like to conduct a number of case studies to demonstrate benefits gained over a six-month period. Please pass the word to parents whose children have Autism. They would be required to fill out questionnaires, bring their children in for monthly BodyTalk sessions free of charge and probably do Cortices on their children and themselves each day.

It tastes great and supports liver function. *Disinfect countertops by sprinkling a couple drops onto the surface and then wipe. *Diffuse it at work. A study at a university in Japan showed that diffusing lemon oil reduced errors by 54%. *Lemon oil acts just like a hand sanitizer, without the chemicals.
